In Belaya Tserkov, a group of teenagers brutally beat a 12-year-old girl.

The bulk video quickly flew through social networks. The footage shows how the schoolgirl was beaten with their feet and hands, glued to the head of a chewing gum and humiliated with words. One of the teenagers even demanded money from the victim – an amount of 15 thousand hryvnias, and also took away the phone.
According to the police, the beating report came from the girl’s mother on January 11. It turned out that three minors were involved in the attack: two boys 15 and 16 years old and a 12-year-old girl.
Police opened criminal proceedings, and one of the suspects-a 16-year-old young man-has already been suspected of torture and extortion during martial law. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
In the course of the investigation, it turned out that teenagers not only used physical violence, but also psychologically pressed on the victim, intimidated it and threatened. One of the attackers sprayed the girl in the face of a gas canopy.
It is known that the victim is a displacement and has previously communicated with part of her abusers.
Educational Ombudsmenko Nadezhda Leshchik stressed that such cases of cruelty among adolescents are a consequence of a number of factors: problems in the family, the desire to assert themselves or the previously transmitted violence.
She emphasized that not only the teenagers but their parents are responsible for such actions. After the incident, psychologists with all parties to the conflict should work at the school where participants study, both with the victim and the attackers and their families.
By law, persons from the age of 16 are criminally liable, and younger – only by individual articles.
Such adolescents may apply compulsory educational measures: reservations, leisure restriction, transfer to parents or educators, as well as referral to special institutions to correct behavior.
