On December 16, the building of the Irpin city council in the Kyiv region was searched by representatives of law enforcement agencies as part of criminal proceedings related to the activities of local authorities.
The deputy of the Irpin City Council, Zoryana Mironishena, informed about the investigative actions, who was the first to inform about the events within the walls of the local self-government body.
She noted that searches continue during working hours and concern cases that have been under investigation by relevant authorities for some time.
According to Mironishena, the City Council employs investigators who check documents and other materials related to those involved in existing criminal proceedings.
The deputy stressed that the community expects real results, not formal procedural actions. She emphasized that the residents of Irpen want to see the inevitability of responsibility for those who are suspected of abusing power or stealing property.
Myronishena said the community is hoping for “New Year’s charges” for everyone involved in the investigations, hinting at a possible announcement of new charges before the end of the year.
The deputy stressed the importance of law enforcement officers bringing the initiated cases to court and ensuring a transparent trial. She added that it is fundamentally important for the city to put an end to high-profile cases that have been undermining trust in the authorities for years.
It will be recalled that NABU conducted searches in the central office of the State Medical Service and seized documents.
NABU also searched the new security director of Naftogaz, Vitaly Brovka.
