According to preliminary data, the driver of the DAF truck with a semi -trailer lost control due to the rupture of the wheel. As a result, his truck went to the oncoming lane, where there was a frontal collision with the Volvo FH13460 truck with a trailer. Both cars lit up after a stroke. The drivers of both trucks that were born in 1967 and 1984 were killed at the scene.
The VAZ-21099 passenger car, moving behind Volvo, also got into an accident. The driver and passenger of the car were injured in varying degrees of severity and were taken to the hospital.
Investigators, criminalists, rescuers and physicians worked at the scene. Criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules. The pre -trial investigation is ongoing.
Recall that for 2024 police officers registered 25 781 road accidents with victims. Statistics show that 3 202 of them were killed, another 32,023 people were injured.
