Ukraine and Denmark have signed a memorandum of understanding, which involves the creation of joint defense industries. The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen Europe’s security through technology exchange and attract EU funding.
This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmigal, who signed the document together with Denmark’s ministers: Defense by Troels Lund Polesen, Industry, Business and Financial Affairs by Morten Bogodkov and Foreign Affairs Lars Rasmussen.
The Memorandum involves:

Launching Ukrainian defense companies of production in Denmark.

Creating common capacity and technology exchange.

Involvement of EU funding to implement common projects.
Shmigal emphasized the meaning of this cooperation:
“The signing of a memorandum is a big step towards forming a new security system in Europe and enhancing the capabilities of the defense and industrial complexes of our states. During the war, the products produced jointly will support Ukraine’s defense forces. “
He added that in the long run Ukrainian decisions and security experience will also increase the defense capability of allies of Ukraine.
Earlier in Denmark there was a dispute over the construction of a rocket fuel plant of Ukrainian Fire Point. To accelerate the launch of the enterprise, the government has decided to ignore more than 20 laws and regulations.
The Ukrainian Defense Industry (UOP) has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Danish company Weibel Scientific.
