Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba shed light on the recent conversation with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
During the presentation of the book in Khmelnytskyi, the diplomat explained the purpose of such meetings of the head of state, “Glavkom” reports.
He emphasized the transition from isolation to joining forces for victory.
Zelensky recently drastically adjusted domestic policy — from rejecting opponents to actively involving key figures.
Kuleba, who headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2020-2024, did not communicate with the president for a year and a half after his dismissal. The meeting helped him understand the government’s vision and possible joint projects.
The diplomat highly appreciated this turn, calling it “super” and extremely necessary for Ukraine. Now the focus is on rallying — with volunteers, ex-officials and activists. It is a signal of the desire for unity in times of challenges.
On January 5, the President began a series of dialogues with Kuleba, where they discussed strengthening Ukraine’s voice in the world. On January 14, Zelenskyi met with volunteer Serhii Prytula — they agreed on support for funds and the habit of self-organization.
The next day, January 15, the conversation with Sternenko touched on drones, legislation for volunteers and feedback from the front.
On January 16, a meeting was held with former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov — the focus was on the energy crisis and infrastructure. Each conversation ended with agreements on cooperation.
Kuleba clearly assured: Zelensky did not offer any positions. The ex-minister was only interested in the strategic goals of the government.
“Volodymyr Oleksandrovych just met to understand how to work together,” he emphasized.
It will be recalled that Kuleba denied rumors about a new position from Zelenskyi.
