Kremlin Aide Claims U.S. Made ‘Interesting’ Proposals for Ending Ukraine Conflict

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Kremlin, has indicated that the United States has presented Moscow with a series of intriguing proposals aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Ushakov described these suggestions as both interesting and potentially beneficial, although he noted that they have yet to be acted upon. He further asserted that the U.S. has the capacity to exert pressure on Kyiv.

In a recent statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that the U.S. has set conditions for providing security guarantees to Ukraine, specifically demanding the withdrawal of Ukrainian armed forces from the Donbas region.

Zelensky emphasized that this requirement poses a threat not only to Ukraine’s security but also to Europe, as it would allow occupying forces to strengthen their defensive positions in the area.

In response, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed Zelensky’s claims as false, stating that security guarantees would not be activated until the conflict concludes.

During a press interaction, Zelensky reiterated his earlier points, suggesting that there is much more to the situation than what has been publicly disclosed, hinting at undisclosed complexities.

Yuri Ushakov has revealed that the U.S. made proposals to Russia regarding the Ukraine conflict, while President Zelensky claims the U.S. demands troop withdrawals for security guarantees. This has sparked a dispute over the implications for Ukraine's security.
