The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has released a list of the 52 best tourist villages in 2025. The Transcarpathian villages of Kolochava and Synevyrska Polyana made it to the rating.

The World Tourism Organization recognized communities from Africa, America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. In total, according to the UN, 52 tourist villages were included in the list of the best.
Another 20 villages have joined the UN Tourism Modernization Program, which aims to help communities improve their performance in areas where the jury found them to be weak.
Together, all 72 villages entered the Network of the Best Tourist Villages (BTV), which now unites 319 settlements.
