In December 2024, 52% of Ukrainians trusted President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, 39% did not. The remaining 9% answered that they could not decide on their attitude.

This is stated in the KMIS survey data.

“Although trust indicators worsened over the year, the trust-distrust balance remains positive at +13%,” the report says.

According to sociologists, at the end of 2023, 77% of Ukrainians trusted the president, but by February 2024, trust had dropped to 64%, and by May 2024 – to 59%. The share of those who do not trust has increased from 22% to 36% over the specified period.

By October 2024, the situation stabilized, but between October and December 2024, the level of trust began to decline again, although not so much at the expense of those who do not trust, but at the expense of those who have an uncertain attitude towards the president.

“In other words, between October and December, first of all, uncertainty, and not mistrust, increased,” – says the KMIS message.

The survey was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology on December 2-17, 2024 among 2,000 respondents.

As of December 2024, 57% of Ukrainians reported that they are ready to endure the war as long as necessary. At the same time, the willingness to bear the burden of war is gradually decreasing.

Recently, the Rakuten Viber team found out whether Ukrainians would donate to the Armed Forces and their friends who are serving. 63% of respondents continue to donate in 2024, another 27% helped in other ways — the same figures were at the end of 2023. More than half of Ukrainians learn about the fees from friends and acquaintances.

Support for European integration of Ukraine has also reached a record level, according to the latest survey.
