In the Kharkiv region, the telecommunications infrastructure is being strengthened to ensure stable mobile communication in the fall and winter despite Russian shelling and possible long-term power outages.
This was reported by the head of Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov.
During the meeting with the head of the regional council Tetyana Yehorova-Lutsenko, mobile operators and heads of communities, key steps were agreed upon:
• equipping base stations with backup power sources;
• improvement of maintenance of networks;
• coordination with communities regarding alternative power supply for communication facilities.
Synegubov emphasized that the region works “in advance” so that residents can receive important information and stay in touch under any conditions.
It will be recalled that “Ukrenergo” gave a forecast for a shutdown in the winter.
Ukrenergo also warned about blackouts in some regions.
