And in the folk calendar, this holiday is known as Zosim Beekeeper. The Novoyan Church Calendar of this day honors the Holy Apostle Juda Jacob, who is also called the Brother of the Lord. He was the son of Joseph of the Betcher – the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary – from the previous marriage. It should not be confused with Judas Iscariot, a traitor of Jesus. The Apostle Judas remained the faithful of the Savior to the end and after his ascension preached Christianity in many regions – in Judea, Samaria, Galilee, Idmei, and in the Arabian Peninsula.
