“It will be worse than Afghanistan.” Senator Lindsey Graham opposed the abolition of military assistance to Ukraine

Graham said he spoke with the National Security President Mike Volz a few days ago. The senator is concerned about the cessation of intelligence with Ukraine and the supply of weapons.

“If we cover oxygen to Ukraine, it will be worse than Afghanistan. I do not think that President Trump has the slightest desire to allow it, ”he said.

Graham stated that before the ceasefire, he would hand over to Ukraine everything necessary for protection. He also said that next week he would present a bill on sanctions against the banking and energy sectors of Russia to force the aggressor to sit at the negotiation table.

The senator also called for a mineral agreement for the United States to continue military assistance to Ukraine and exchange intelligence until ceasefire. He claims that he needs “press on both sides ”to put them at the negotiating table.

On March 9, Financial Times, citing sources, reported that the Ukrainian delegation, during negotiations with US representatives in Saudi Arabia, plans to offer a partial cease ceasefire with Russia next week, hoping that Washington will cancel the freezing of military assistance.

On March 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed the composition of the Ukrainian delegation, which will go to Saudi Arabia. According to him, in negotiations with the United States, planned for Tuesday, March 11, Ukraine will be represented by Presidential Head Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Deputy Head of OP Pavlo Palis.
