The aggressor state Russia, despite the sanctions, used components manufactured by Western companies to create the S-70 Hunter heavy attack unmanned aerial vehicle.
The details of the examination of the enemy UAV were made public on Friday, November 8, at the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This Russian drone was shot down on October 5, 2024, near Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region.
In particular, as noted by the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, microelectronics and other technological components manufactured by the companies Analog Devices, Texas Instruments and Xilinx-AMD were discovered in the Russian Okhotnyk (USA), Infineon Technologies (Germany), STMicroelectronics (Switzerland).

Ukrainian intelligence also added that the cost of such a Hunter is about 15 million dollars. The Russian Federation had four prototypes of the S-70 UAV.
“The S-70 UAV is, among other things, the carrier of UMPB D-30 aerial bombs, which the Russians drop to destroy the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine,” the GUR emphasized.
Earlier, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that any Russian missile or drone is filled with Western components.
“Everyone turns their eyes away from what is happening,” Budanov stressed.
On September 24, the adviser to the President of Ukraine, Vladyslav Vlasyuk, reported that most of the foreign parts found in the weapons of the Russian occupiers come to the Russian Federation from China.
