The National Police of Ukraine employs about 70-75 thousand law enforcement officers who can be mobilized, and more than 15 thousand full-time police officers perform various combat tasks. Deputy head of the National Police Oleksandr Facevych told about this on the air of the telethon.
“We have created special units to support the State Border Service and the Defense Forces. We are also currently performing tasks on one of the most difficult areas of the front – this is the “Lyut” brigade, together with the consolidated “Predator” brigade, together with the newly created KORD rifle unit. They are performing tasks on Toretskyi direction,” the official said.
Facevych added that rifle battalions have been created in each regional police department, some of them have already completed the training and coordination of gunners, UAV operators and infantrymen.
Also, in the next academic year, the basic general military training of students will be added to the program of 3 courses of Ukrainian universities.
