According to the investigation, during the submission of the annual declaration for 2023, the suspect intentionally stated false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform the functions of the state stipulated by the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”.
He did not declare a residential building of 200 square meters, a land of more than 6 acres, a Mercedes-Benz G400D car, cash for more than UAH 11 million, as well as other valuable property-both movable and immovable.
But he made a deliberate data on the possession of Bitcoin cryptocurrency for almost UAH 58 million. The official tried to artificially increase the volume of declared assets of his family, said in the message.
It is also reported that the official was released from his post.
Measures to expose unlawful activity were carried out by prosecutors together with investigators of TUD in Nikolaev, employees of UBSU in the Odessa region, DVB of the National Police and the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC).
