In the village of Pulyny of the Zhytomyr district, law enforcement officers and the military command are investigating the causes of the sudden death of Oleksandr Revutsky, who became ill after leaving the premises of the territorial procurement center.
This was announced by the Zhytomyr regional TCC and SP on Facebook.
The man was wanted for violating the rules of military registration and was brought to the institution on January 2 to process documents and pass a military medical commission, which found him fit for service. According to the Zhytomyr regional TCC and SP, on January 3, the man was called to the emergency room due to nosebleeds, but he refused to be hospitalized, and already at 3:20 p.m., having received a summons for January 5, he left the building on his own, which was recorded by surveillance cameras.
The tragedy occurred outside the territory of the TCC, where Oleksandr Revutsky suddenly fainted and fell, after which the military called medics and the police, but resuscitation measures did not yield results. The management of the TCC appointed an official investigation, and the police of the Zhytomyr region started criminal proceedings to establish the exact cause of death, studying the recordings from the cameras and interviewing eyewitnesses. The law enforcement officers separately denied the information spread on social networks about the alleged systematic cases of death of men in the area, emphasizing the absence of other similar reports during the last month.
While the investigation is ongoing, Russian propaganda is trying to use this tragic incident to discredit the mobilization processes in Ukraine by spreading manipulative posts in Internet communities. Local authorities and the military urge citizens to trust only the official conclusions of the forensic medical examination and not to succumb to provocations aimed at destabilizing the situation in the rear regions. The results of the investigation will be made public after completion of all necessary procedural actions and obtaining the conclusions of pathologists.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, 272 cases of attacks on servicemen of territorial recruitment and social support centers have been recorded. Four soldiers died in the line of duty.
