Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal assured that in the Zaporizhzhia region the works on the construction of fortifications are 100 percent completed.

Shmyhal reported this in Telegram.

“In each front-line region, one of the key priorities for us is the construction of fortifications. This year, the government allocated UAH 1.9 billion to Zaporizhzhia for these needs,” Shmyhal informed.

He noted that “the state of work performance is 100%. 358 military strongholds were prepared. Hundreds of kilometers of defense lines have also been built. I thank the regional military administration, the chairman and all those involved who were engaged in this work.”

“The state of construction and operation of fortifications remains under constant control of the government,” Shmyhal added.

Earlier we wrote that fortifications are being actively built near Zaporizhzhia in case of a possible attack by Russian troops, but some commanders believe that the Russian Federation is currently not ready for a large-scale attack in this direction.
