Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the National Police Department, completed a pre -trial investigation into a former law enforcement officer who illegally transmitted data from a closed information base to representatives of a ritual business.
According to the investigation, the worker, working in the law enforcement agency of Zaporizhzhya, had access to the State Portal, which contained information about dead citizens and their relatives. He decided to use this in his own interests and began to sell such data, including phone numbers, to the burial business.
Receiving this information, entrepreneurs immediately contacted the relatives of the dead and offered their services.
In order for the scheme to work continuously, the former law enforcement officer attracted her wife to her by handing her a login and password for access to a closed base.
In total, the investigation recorded more than 300 cases of illegal transmission of confidential information.
