On Wednesday, July 30, one of the suspects in the murder of pensioners in Cherkasy region shot himself in Vinnytsia during communication with law enforcement. He called 102 himself and reported that he was near the store in one of the settlements of Khmelnytsky district.
The man noted that he has grenades and automatic weapons, the National Police reports.
Law enforcement officers began special operations with the involvement of the KORD special unit.
During the negotiations, a 63-year-old man disagreed with weapons and committed suicide.
According to the investigation, on July 26, the suspect, together with his accomplice, invaded the pensioners in Cherkasy region, who were tortured until death for the sake of money. The man was left to die in the house, and the woman who saw the face of the abuser was taken to the field in the territory of the Kirovograd region, strangled. She died of head injuries and strangles.
Initially, the investigators of the criminal investigation managed to detain one of the attackers – he came out after serving the sentence for murder and robbery and committed a new attack. The attacker is already in a pre -trial detention center.
The other was hiding in Vinnytsia region, where it came from. Like his accomplice, the man had previously served a series of crimes. After suicide, police found automatic weapons, equipped shops and grenades.
