In Vinnytsia region, an employee of the department of the committee to fight corruption and organized crime of the branch of the All-Ukrainian public organization is suspected of bribery.

According to the investigation, the suspect promised for $6,000 to influence the leadership of the military unit and resolve the issue of the military serviceman’s exemption from military service.
Law enforcement officers, with the support of KORD special units and a special police company, detained a representative of a public organization while receiving money. During the searches, $6,000, a committee employee’s ID card, mobile phones and a car were seized.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and taken into custody. He was charged under Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence), for which imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years with confiscation of property is provided.
Earlier, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) detained the head of one of the district departments of the state institution “Probation Center” in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who demanded a bribe of USD 21,500 from an injured defender.
