Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the Ros Guards Major General was informed in absentia of the suspicion of conducting aggressive military actions (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in February-October 2022, the commander of the 50th separate operational brigade of the southern district of the Russian National Guard troops ensured the implementation of the orders of the Russian military-political leadership regarding the invasion of Ukraine. The man led six tactical groups that, using military equipment, occupied Kherson Region and organized an economic and humanitarian blockade of the region.
It was this general who coordinated the setting up of roadblocks on key roads, personal searches and the detention of local residents. His subordinates were involved in the organization of the regime of illegal detention of civilians, which was accompanied by torture and murder.
The pre-trial investigation is currently being carried out by the SBU in the Kherson region under the operational support of the SBU Directorate in the Kherson region and the 79th border police unit of the DPS of Ukraine.
