In Ukraine, the platform for regular support of the Armed Forces “Subscription to the Army” has been launched. It allows Ukrainians to independently choose a brigade or unit and regularly report to them. All funds immediately go to the charitable treasury accounts of the military units. The author of the idea, Olena Shevtsova, said during the presentation that the platform was born from live communication with the military – commanders, officers, sergeants and soldiers.
“I would like people to support the Ukrainian army not only emotionally – when shelling occurs or bad news comes from the front. And that support should be constant, regular, regardless of what news feed is on today,” Shevtsova explained. According to her, the purpose of the platform is to unite all units involved in the defense of the country, as well as representatives of all security and defense forces, so that they can receive stable support from citizens.
The head of the project, Halyna Klempose, emphasized that “Subscription to the Army” works as transparently as possible. According to her, 100% of all funds are immediately credited to the charitable treasury accounts of the military units. “The platform has open analytics. Each hryvnia – 10 or 100 – can be tracked. People can see how funds are coming into their accounts, how much they donated and how much a particular team received,” Clempose said.
She added that users can observe special dashboards that show the activity of donations, the level of support of different divisions and even a certain “competition” between them.
The commander of the 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems “Achilles” Yuriy Fedorenko joined the online presentation. He emphasized that the platform gives people the opportunity to help a specific military unit, not in an abstract way. “Commanders understand well the needs of their units and can purchase at the right moment exactly what really enhances combat capability,” Fedorenko explained.
According to him, the platform also creates a direct connection between civilians and the military — people understand exactly where their money is going and what it is needed for. “If we talk about victory, wars are always won by the people. The defense forces and the civilian sector are a single entity capable of winning this war,” the commander concluded.
