The fall in potato prices is associated with the start of harvesting in the main regions and an increase in the supply of late varieties in the domestic market. The selling prices have already decreased by an average of 10%compared to last week and amount to 9-16 UAH/kg ($ 0.22-0.39/kg).
Farmers note that buyers have become more demanding of product quality. If even small potatoes were easily sold last year, now such products are almost in demand.
