Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that Ukraine managed to collect about 40 million tons of new harvest, of which 22 million tons are wheat.
This allows the country to remain an important guarantor of food security for many countries, as domestic consumption is only 6 million tons. That is, Ukraine collected almost four times more wheat than domestic consumption.
The government also continues to support farmers by issuing 31.5 billion UAH in affordable loans through the 5-7-9 program for 6.5 thousand farms.
