This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko on the air of the telethon, stressing that attempts to break through the border are not isolated.
Demchenko explained that quite often individual citizens, being already at checkpoints or at the entrance to them, try to break through the border, sometimes damaging barriers.
In order to counter such actions, border guards, together with the relevant bodies responsible for arranging checkpoints, are constantly working on strengthening security measures.
In addition to concrete blocks, additional structures are being installed within the framework of strengthening engineering protection, which make it impossible for cars to break through the control line.
Also, on the highways leading to the checkpoints, devices are installed that force vehicles to reduce speed, which additionally increases the level of security at the border.
