An employee of the TCC secretly took out of the institution the men who had arrived for mobilization, but did not want to serve, for $3,000-4,000. For $4,000-5,000, the suspect also “helped” soldiers who had just returned from voluntary desertion to escape from the reserve battalion again. The worker himself encouraged the fighters to escape again, promising to show the way to bypass the patrols, where his acquaintance in a car was supposed to be waiting for the fugitives.
According to this scheme, at least five servicemen left their place of service. DBR employees detained the instructor in February 2025 while receiving $10,000 for helping two servicemen evade military service. The accused will be tried for obstructing the legal activities of the Armed Forces and other military formations during a special period.
Earlier, in Lviv Oblast, the channel of illegal transportation of men of conscription age across the Ukrainian-Romanian border, which was organized by an active serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who escaped from his unit and was wanted, was eliminated.
