Law enforcement officers of the Chop Border Detachment together with the migration police exposed a criminal scheme that has been in place in Transcarpathia for a long time. The organizer searched women in a difficult situation and promised them a high -paying job in the Middle and Middle East. In fact, the victims were planned to be used in the sex industry.
During the operation, an attempt was documented to transport two young Ukrainian women to the Czech Republic, who were subsequently “employed” in Catalau and Jordan. They were detained at the Chop (guard) checkpoint after the control.
The organizer was detained in Chop in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. The searches at three addresses seized documents, mobile phones, bank cards, computer equipment and other material evidence.
She was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Trafficking in Human”). Uzhgorod City District Court chose a measure of restraint – detention with the right to make a bail in the amount of UAH 302 thousand. The investigation is ongoing.
