The head of the regional state administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported this in Telegram.
“The situation with energy remains extremely difficult. The enemy continues systematic attacks on energy and heat infrastructure facilities, seeking to leave the population without light and heat – basic human needs. The consequences of these strikes are tangible — electricity in the general system is getting less and less, and in the coming days the acute deficit will persist and be significantly felt,” the message reads.
According to Kalashnyk, “the entire critical infrastructure of Kyiv Region – boiler houses, water supply facilities, hospitals – has been transferred to alternative energy sources to give additional time with light to household consumers. Cogeneration plants, generators, and solar power plants are working. We are systematically increasing distributed generation.”
The head of the Regional State Administration emphasized that in the current conditions, every community must take a number of crisis decisions. It is about limiting street lighting, lighting of common areas in buildings, and in entrances with several elevators – leave one in operation.
Illumination and illumination of advertisements are not allowed today. According to energy experts, such measures can save tens of megawatts of electricity. We have to consume less and generate more to give more light to every home.
Most base stations of mobile operators are equipped with both batteries and generators.
At the same time, the quality of the mobile Internet may deteriorate due to excessive network load during long-term outages.
Despite this, together with operators and communities, we are working to ensure that communication remains available for people and services that ensure the vitality of the region.
We will remind that after the night shelling of Russian terrorists in Burshtyn in Ivano-Frankivsk region, heat will be supplied to social, medical and educational institutions from three solid fuel boiler houses. These boiler rooms were installed last year.
The situation with electricity supply in Ukraine and the capital in particular remains extremely difficult. Therefore, while restoration work is ongoing at all facilities damaged by Russian terrorists, electricity may be supplied to some addresses in Kyiv for only two hours.
