In the mountains near the border with Romania, at the Chernivtsi Border Detachment, very low temperatures are recorded. In the daytime, the air temperature drops to minus 23-25 ° C, and at night the thermometer columns are lowered to minus 30 ° C.
This was reported on Facebook by the Chernivtsi Border Squad.
Such frosts pose a serious danger to the health and lives of people, so border guards emphasize caution in such conditions.
In particular, border guards and rescuers have recently helped three men who got lost in the Carpathians and wandered the snow -covered mountains for more than two days. Only when people understood the seriousness of the situation, did they seek help, and after eight hours of searches found them.
During this week, frosts will be stored in Ukraine, but since the beginning of next week, their weakening is expected, in particular, daily temperature, which will switch to positive values.
Earlier, we wrote that on Sunday, January 26, two temperature records were recorded in Kyiv. This was the first maximum since the beginning of 2025.
