In the Carpathian region, law enforcement officers stopped the activity of a group of persons engaged in illegal sale of weapons and ammunition. The attackers, including three residents of Ivano-Frankivsk and one of the Dnipropetrovsk region, managed to sell weapons worth about one million hryvnias.
This was reported in the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
According to law enforcement officers, during half a year, criminals actively sold weapons, turning it into a profitable business.
Their “range” included different types of weapons, including 17 grenades, 4 grenade launchers, PCM machine gun, two Kalashnikov machine guns, as well as a large number of ammunition of different caliber. The cost of the entire arsenal sold is estimated at about one million hryvnias.
Currently, all defendants of the case have been detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. They have already been declared suspicion of committing a crime related to arms. An investigation is ongoing, which must establish all the circumstances of the case and possible accomplices of the detainees.
We will remind, in the Dnieper district of Kiev law enforcement officers detained a 19-year-old boy who tried to set fire to the bank.
