In the Ternopil region, a 72-year-old man issued his first ID passport of a citizen of Ukraine. The Migration Service sometimes faces cases where Ukrainians who had a 1974 USSR passport have not received the Ukrainian model in 1994.
This was reported by the Migration Service of Ternopil region.
The migrations face frequent cases where Ukrainians who were documented by the passports of the former USSR citizen in 1974 did not receive the Ukrainian passport of the 1994 sample.
It was with this situation that a 72-year-old man addressed the Berezhany Department of LCA Management in the Ternopil region.
“On the basis of a court decision on establishing the fact of permanent residence in the territory of Ukraine on 24.08.1991, after carrying out the procedure of establishing belonging to the citizenship of Ukraine, a passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of an ID card was issued,”-said the head of the Berezhany department of UDMS Lyubov Kisil.
Migrations reminded that every citizen who has reached the age of 14 is obliged to receive a Ukrainian passport.
Recently, the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko informed that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had simplified the procedure for registration of passport documents for Ukrainians abroad. From now on, it is not necessary to physically present a military accounting document for registration of a passport.
