In cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, employees completed an investigation into six law enforcement officers from Sumy region, who were illegally prosecuted in order to improve the statistics of crime detection.
According to the investigation, the persons involved in the case were searched by local residents who led an associate lifestyle and offered them for a small monetary reward to take guilty for crimes they did not commit. For each “person” defined roles: some became “criminals”, others – “victims” or “witnesses”.
In one of the episodes, law enforcement officers staged a human beating. In a pre -developed scenario, they “opened” the crime, conducted fictitious investigative experiments, and raised a suspicion of the false person. Similarly, the “disclosed” case of the alleged theft of bank cards – innocent person unreasonably declared suspicion.
In total, four similar falsifications are documented.
Recall that the law enforcement officer raped the child. He also threatened her that her father would not return from the war, and her grandmother would be imprisoned.
It was also reported that more than half of alcohol in Ukraine is counterfeit. Because of this, the Ukrainian budget does not receive about UAH 25 billion in taxes and fees.
