Sumy has actively started the implementation of a large -scale project – the construction of four underground schools, and in general in the Sumy region such establishments are planned eleven.
Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has informed about it during a visit to one of the city’s educational institutions, where the construction of a modern underground shelter is already underway.
According to the head of the government, today the educational process in many schools of the city is organized in a mixed format, partly remotely, but thanks to new protective structures, children will be able to return to full -time training in safe conditions.
The protective structure, which is built in Sumy, is designed for 500 people. It will not only conduct lessons, but also provide the necessary level of safety for students and educators in the event of rocket or artillery shelling.
About UAH 117 million from the state and local budgets has been allocated for the implementation of this project.
The construction is planned to be completed by the beginning of the next academic year, so that since September students can return to school desks in new conditions.
The Prime Minister stressed that the security of the educational process is a key priority for the government.
Schmigal emphasized
He also noted that together with the head of the State Agency, the restoration Sergey Sukhomlin discussed the possibilities of simplifying the implementation of such projects for small educational institutions to expand the network of underground schools and in rural communities.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved an agreement with Japan, which provides for the attraction of about $ 3 billion in the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) international initiative.
We also reported that the US-Ukrainian investment fund will be registered in the United States. Only the first part of the agreement will be ratified in the Verkhovna Rada.
