The production and storage of the counterfeit took place in the rented premises of the garage cooperative in the village of Kvasyliv, Rivne district and Rivne.
According to the investigation, the dealers managed to produce almost 8500 liters of counterfeit alcoholic beverages. The law enforcement officer involved in the equipment personally engaged in the production of alcohol, logistics and delivery of goods. He has now been dismissed.
It was also reported that more than half of alcohol in Ukraine is counterfeit. Because of this, the Ukrainian budget does not receive about UAH 25 billion in taxes and fees.
