In Odessa, law enforcement officers exposed the scheme of obtaining an undue benefit, which is featured by the commander of the department of one of the district shopping center and the JV and his accomplice.
According to the investigation, in April this year, a citizen appealed to the serviceman to help remove the person who evaded the mobilization.
For such a “service”, the employee of the Tax Code invited $ 6,500, promising to influence the officials of the RTC and JV to exclude a man from the investigation base.
However, the customer decided to cooperate with law enforcement officers, and further actions took place under their control. Already on April 18, near one of Odessa stores, the military received the first tranche – $ 1,500.
A month later, he reported that the issue would be resolved in the near future, as well as transferred his accomplice to further coordination.
The final stage of the agreement took place on May 26 at the parking lot near a trading facility: the serviceman received the rest of the amount – $ 5,000. Immediately after that, both suspects were detained by law enforcement officers.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the commander of the department and his accomplice were suspected of the article “Abuse of influence”.
The court chose a precautionary measure for detainees – detention with an alternative to making a collateral of UAH 908 thousand for everyone.
The possible involvement of other RTC officials and JV in the organization of this scheme is currently underway.
