The DBR is investigating the death of a 23-year-old Kharkiv, who tried to get into Moldova illegally through the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in Odesa region.

The man was a deadly gunshot wound while pursuing the border guards.
The incident happened on September 1 at about 6:00 pm. During patrolling, the border outfit noticed two men who climbed through protective structures and moved to Moldova. The violators did not respond to the requirements.
During the pursuit, the border guards made several warning shots. Subsequently, they discovered the body of one of the fugitives with a deadly gunshot wound. During the dead, a foreign passport and personal belongings were found.
The second man was detained in place.
We will remind, for 2025 the border guards detained more than 13 thousand people who tried to illegally leave Ukraine.
