According to the investigation, he set up a scheme for the transfer of “evaders” to the unrecognized Transnistria, receiving considerable funds for it. Now he is threatened with a serious punishment for the crime.
Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) found that the law enforcement officer did not act on his own. He involved in the criminal scheme of accomplices, including both civilians and other representatives of law enforcement agencies.
Together, they have developed a detailed plan for the Customer Crossing across the border, bypassing official checkpoints. The cost of such a “service” ranged from several thousand US dollars from a person, depending on the complexity of the route and urgency.
During the pre -trial investigation, sufficient evidence was assembled confirming the involvement of the law enforcement officer in organizing the illegal crossing of the border.
In particular, the facts of receiving money from “evasion” were documented, as well as a correspondence with other participants of the scheme, which discussed the details of the transfer. Currently, the indictment has been sent to court.
If the law enforcement officer is proved in court, he is threatened with imprisonment for a term of five to nine years with confiscation of property. In addition, he will be deprived of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
