Last year, almost nine billion hryvnias were allocated from the Southern Bug River from the State Bug River.

In January 2025, construction work began, and in August they launched a test work of the water supply.

Water has already been fully supplied to the water utility systems and tanks.

Earlier in Sumy, water supply was partially restored after the Russian attack on the night of August 27. Water is served on a schedule with low pressure in the morning and evening.

At the same time, the residents of the occupied Donetsk complain massively about theft of water tanks.
