On the evening of May 20, a terrible tragedy occurred in the village of Komisarivka of the Berezan community of the Nikolaev area.

A local 41-year-old woman, while intoxicated, came to her neighbors with a request to take her to the store. After the neighbors refused, she returned home, but later appeared in their yard with a F-1 battle grenade, which she threw in the yard.
A three -year -old boy – the son of the owners of the house, was killed on the site, and the attacker himself was seriously injured and died in hospital soon.
According to the police, the explosion reported from the mother of the dead child. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found fragments of F-1 grenade. During a search at the house of a woman who committed the crime, more than 100 cartridges of different caliber were found for automatic weapons.
All ammunition was seized and sent for examination to establish their origin.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Articles 115 (premeditated murder) and 263 (illegal handling of weapons, fighting or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation is currently underway, the police are establishing how a woman has a grenade and a significant number of ammunition, as well as find out the motives of her actions.
