On January 5, a fire broke out in the building of the district court in Mykolaiv. As it turned out, the fire was started by an 18-year-old boy.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region.
According to the police, the district court on Samoilovicha Street was on fire. As a result of the examination, it was established that the cause was deliberate arson. With the help of surveillance cameras, the law enforcement officers established who was involved in the arson. An 18-year-old boy was detained in a rented apartment.
“The police established that the 18-year-old from Mykolaiv, while fulfilling the order, first looked for the “necessary” administrative building. He bought the necessary things in advance – a hammer and flammable mixtures, and set them on fire as instructed. The attacker filmed all his actions, after which he sent the “customer” a video report about the damage to the court and receiving a monetary reward,” the police report said.
The boy was informed of the suspicion for h. 2 Art. 194 “Intentional destruction or damage to property” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
Earlier we wrote that in Kharkiv law enforcement officers exposed two teenagers who, on the order of the Russian Federation, set fire to the cars of Ukrainian defenders.
We also reported that since the beginning of this year, the police recorded more than 340 cases of setting fire to military vehicles, despite the fact that last year these were only isolated cases.
