The Solomyan District Court of Kyiv sentenced Ukrainian citizen Olga Burova, who worked as the first deputy of the so-called “Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea” in the occupation administration of the Russian Federation, to seven years in prison in absentia.

According to data from the Unified Register of Court Decisions, Burova was found guilty of collaborative activity. In addition to the prison term, the court ordered confiscation of property and a ban on holding positions in government bodies for 10 years.

The investigation established that a native of the Stavropol Territory and a citizen of Ukraine voluntarily agreed to work in the illegal authority of the occupied Crimea and was appointed to the position on May 11, 2023.

The proceedings were conducted in absentia — the accused is hiding in the occupied territory and did not appear for summonses. The term of punishment will start counting after her actual detention.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced suspicion against the Russian singer Philip Kirkorov for supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine and systematically speaking in the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) in front of the Russian invaders.
