A 41-year-old resident of Kyiv was notified of suspicion of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period, and a 15-year-old native of Donetsk region, who set fire to the premises of JSC “Ukrposhta”.
The pre-trial investigation established that in December 2024, the Kyivan received a Telegram message in which he was offered to earn $10,000. To do this, you need to find and set fire to a car belonging to a serviceman of the Armed Forces or other military formations.
Further on, on the street Demiivska’s husband saw a Jeep Cherokee with the symbols of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, took a picture of it and sent the photo to the customer. After receiving approval, he doused the car with gasoline and set it on fire.
A 15-year-old boy received an order to set fire to the branch of “Ukrposhta” for money according to the same scheme – in Telegram. So, having acquired a highly flammable substance, he poured it over a rug and the door of a post office in the Svyatoshyn district of Kyiv and set them on fire.
Both men were detained and informed of the suspicions. At present, preventive measures have been chosen for them – detention.
We will remind that the police detained a young man from Bereziv region (Odesa region) on suspicion of setting fire to the premises of the village council: the hall in the administration building was completely burnt down.
