In Kyiv, the police detained three accomplices of the Russian occupiers who organized a terrorist attack on the afternoon of December 11 in the Desnyan district. As a result of the explosion, one person died, four others were injured.

The police and the Security Service of Ukraine detained three people who, on the instructions of a Russian “curator”, made improvised explosive devices and planted them on the route where the patrol was conducted.
As a result of the first explosion, a soldier of the National Guard was killed and his colleague was wounded along with a guard of a nearby construction site. The terrorists made the second explosion when the law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, as a result of which two policemen were injured.
Within a few hours, it was established that three men aged 23, 25 and 27 were involved in the terrorist attack. These are residents of various regions who came to the capital for “earnings”. One of them received a “task” in the messenger from a Russian “curator”: to carry out a terrorist attack in Kyiv in exchange for a monetary reward.
Henchmen of the Russian Federation made improvised explosive devices and, acting on the instructions of the “curator”, disguised the devices in garbage on the patrol route of the National Guardsmen. The terrorists also placed mobile phones nearby that broadcast video in real time.
According to the NPU, the first explosion occurred when the National Guard unit approached the trap. The second – after the arrival of the police and medics. All the victims are in the hospital.
The police and SBU, with the support of the KORD special unit, detained the suspects in the apartment they rented. During the search, material evidence was seized that indicated their involvement in the crime.
The extras were notified of suspicion in accordance with Part 3 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – a terrorist act that resulted in the death of a person. They face life imprisonment.

The Russian government has approved amendments that propose to prohibit extradition at the request of other countries for criminal prosecution and execution of sentences of foreigners who entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia to participate in hostilities against of Ukraine.
