In Kyiv, investigators of the Sviatoshyn police department, together with the Security Service, uncovered another scheme to evade mobilization. Conscripted men were “employed” for further travel abroad under the pretext of business trips.
This was reported by the communication department of the Kyiv police.
“Two local residents aged 19 and 35 were involved in the crime. The latter, not having anything to do with the capital company for the production of printing products, offered conscripts to work for the company, for further travel abroad under the pretext of “business trips”, – the report says.
The cost of such a “service” was 58,000 US dollars, in particular, for the production of fake certificates for men declaring them unfit for military service.
The policemen detained the perpetrators while handing them the stipulated amount of funds from the “clients”. Law enforcement officers seized money, mobile phones and cars belonging to the violators.
Both participants of the scheme were informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code – illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine.
The court chose a preventive measure for the men in the form of detention, and the sanction of the article provides imprisonment for a term of up to 9 years with confiscation of property.
