In December 2024, a man from Kyiv received a message in Telegram with an offer to make money by setting fire to the car of a serviceman of the Armed Forces or other military formations.
On one of the streets of the city, he saw a Volkswagen Multivan with the symbols of the ZSU, took a photo of it and sent the photo to the customer. After receiving consent, the suspect doused the car with gasoline and set it on fire. He sent a photo of the burning car to the customer.

Kharkiv
A former prisoner in Telegram responded to an announcement about easy money – setting fire to the cars of the Ukrainian military for a monetary reward. A man with a criminal past agreed and involved his childhood friend in the “work”.
In mid-December, the suspects set fire to the car of a Ukrainian serviceman, took photos and video of the “result”. In addition, they left a “joker” card on the spot, which was a mandatory condition for the curator.
The law enforcement officers detained all the suspects, depending on the crimes they committed, they were charged with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and intentionally destroying someone else’s property by arson (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier we wrote that in Kharkiv law enforcement officers exposed two teenagers who, on the order of the Russian Federation, set fire to the cars of Ukrainian defenders.
We also reported that since the beginning of this year, the police recorded more than 340 cases of setting fire to military vehicles, despite the fact that last year these were only isolated cases.
