The earliest meteorological autumn came in the capital on August 25, 1993, and latest it began on October 15 in 2020. This year’s date is one of the relatively late, but not record.
This year’s meteorological summer lasted from May 21 to September 23 – 126 days. For comparison, the longest summer was recorded in 2012 and lasted 166 days. The shortest was recorded in 1990 – only 88 days.
According to the Ukrhydromet Center, the transition of the average daily temperature due to +8 degrees in the direction of the decrease will occur in the third decade of October.
