According to preliminary information, the Volkswagen driver ignored the red traffic light and ran into a 23-year-old serviceman who crossed the road to a green traffic light. The victim was hospitalized with numerous injuries. And the driver, according to law enforcement officers, fled after the scene, but was soon searched and detained.
She stated to the police that her husband had been behind the wheel, who allegedly fled the accident. However, law enforcement officers say they denied this information and found that the driver was intoxicated. The test showed 3.11 ppm of alcohol.
