The decision to change the length of the curfew in the region was made during the meeting of the Defense Council of Kharkiv region.
“The changes will come into force on the night of August 16 to August 17. At the same time, the decision does not extend to the communities of the region, where a local intensified curfew is introduced due to the security situation, ”Ova noted.
The head of Kharkiv Ova Oleg Synigubov noted that the issue of reducing the curfew has decided to raise due to repeated appeals of business and retail.
“We have considered this proposal with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economy. The implementation of such a decision in Kharkiv will allow entrepreneurs to increase the time of work, which will have a positive impact on the economic climate of the region,” Synigububov explained.
According to the current legislation, in case of violation of the curfew, punishment is possible if the person does not fulfill the legal requirements of the police. In this case, the protocol under Art. 185 KUPAP (“evil disobedience”). According to this article, a fine is possible from 136 to 255 UAH, public works: 40-60 hours, correctional labor: 1-2 months with maintenance of 20% of earnings and administrative arrest up to 15 days.
There is no special article on penalties for violation of the curfew.
In Kharkiv, families with children from the village of Odrorobivka were declared mandatory evacuation.
Also in Donetsk region begins the mandatory evacuation of families with children from the city of Druzhkivka, as well as from the villages of Andreevka, Varvarivka, Novoandriivka and the Roganske Andriyiv Community.
It should be reminded that more than 20,000 civilians continue to be in the frontline areas of Donetsk region, despite the constant threat of shelling and active fighting.
In the Pokrovsky and Novopavlovsky directions the most severe fighting.
