In Kharkiv, a kindergarten employee was sentenced to 5 years in prison for passing on information about the Armed Forces to the Russians.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

A woman from Kharkiv, who passed on information about the location of Ukrainian defenders and denied the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, received a sentence.

“The Frunzensky District Court of Kharkiv found a 55-year-old woman guilty of disseminating information about the location of military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed under martial law, as well as the production and distribution of materials containing denials of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (part 2 Article 114-2, Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Civil Code). She was sentenced to 5 years in prison,” the report said.

According to the prosecutor’s office, an employee of one of the Kharkiv kindergartens has been an active participant in pro-Russian chats in the Telegram messenger since September 2023.

“There, the woman wrote comments in which she denied the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and discredited the defenders of our state, claiming that they are the ones who strike the civilian infrastructure of the regional center. In addition, while communicating with her acquaintance who lives in the Russian Federation, the woman gave him information about the locations of the Ukrainian military on the territory of Kharkiv. At the same time, the specified information was not publicly available,” the prosecutor’s office added.

The woman was detained at the end of March this year. She was waiting for the trial in custody. The verdict has not yet entered into force, the appeal period continues.

In Kropyvnytskyi, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained two men who are suspected of cooperating with Russian special services and preparing sabotage in the city, in particular, adjusting airstrikes.
