PrivatBank temporarily stopped the work of its branch in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, due to the worsening security situation in the city.
This was reported by the bank’s press service on Facebook.
The financial institution explained that it has become too dangerous for employees and customers to continue working.
“It has become too dangerous to continue working in the city now. Just this week, a Russian drone killed gas service specialists who were on their way to repair work. Rescue services are evacuating civilians. Unfortunately, this is the daily reality of the city,” the message reads.
PrivatBank emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the branch in Druzhkivka has not stopped working for a single day – even when the city was without electricity for 15 days. The unit also survived a direct hit, operating without water, heat or electricity.
In addition to banking services, local residents could charge their gadgets there and warm up.
In the future, the team from Druzhkivka will continue its work in Kramatorsk, located approximately 20 kilometers away. In total, 11 PrivatBank branches are currently operating in the Donetsk region.
