DBR employees found that due to illegal coal production, the state is over UAH 5 billion. Experts came to this conclusion in the framework of the investigation of criminal proceedings of the bureau.

In November 2024, DBR employees stopped illegal coal production in the territory adjacent to the St. Pokrovsk mine. The license for geological study and research and industrial development of coal deposit was received by one of the private societies in 2021, but did not start the relevant work.

A group of people seized the site and started illegal production at a depth of about 80 meters. The organizer of the illegal business agreed with the head of the local territorial community, which helped seize the land.
